Stereo, derived from the term stereophonic, describes a three-dimensional sonic image created using at least two different audio channels. The term stereo sound is probably familiar to you in connection with loudspeaker configurations at home, involving two speakers, one placed to the right of the room and one to the left. In contrast to stereo sound, mono sound has only one playback source, or the same signal is heard by both ears. Mono sound is what’s normally heard with speech applications and from hands-free sets, and is no disadvantage in these areas because voice is always transmitted in mono.
True wireless stereo in-ears (TWS in-ears) are therefore in-ear models which deliver real wireless stereo to two separate ear buds. TWS in-ears in stereo mode therefore brings you a spacious and natural sound.
